The Center for International Agricultural Finance at Iowa State University was asked by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture to come to Romania in 1993 to see what assistance we could provide to increase the number of loans being made to Romanian Agribusinesses.
After developing a project model and completing a pilot program in the western region (red) we decided to expand the model to include the Modova region (Blue) and the Transylvania region (yellow) in 2006.
